Masami Kurumada

Masami Kurumada (車田正美, Kurumada Masami, born December 6, 1953) is a Japanese manga artist and writer, known for specializing in fighting manga featuring bishonen. He is famous as the creator/author of popular manga, such as Ring ni Kakero, Fuuma no Kojirou, Saint Seiya and B't X. He won the best success award with Saint Seiya and the best inspiration award with Ring ni Kakero.

Masami characters rappresent not the commonly masculinity but some different ideal like the sacrifice, the devotion, determination, rage, selfishness. They are a sample of the human traits and for this reason they reach the hearts of the fans so easely.

For Saint Seiya, his master piece, Kurumada required for some titles the help of other authors that realized actually 2 of the most followed series: Saint Seiya G (Megumi Okada, 岡田芽武) and Saint Seiya, the Lost Canvass (Shiori Teshirogi, 車田正美).
